Alright, so we all know the story about how little Red
Riding Hood was going to her grandmothers house when she realize she has been
eaten by the Big Bad Wolf, but what they don’t tell you is that the wolf was
only trying to get revenge on Red Riding Hood because she ate all of his
spaghetti he made for himself. Like Gold
Locks, Hood broke into the wolf’s house and saw a big bowl of yummy spaghetti.
She decided she would help herself to it since she had been walking the very
long, icy trip to her grandmother’s house. She walked from Maine to Georgia for
crying out loud! She was practicing for a triathlon I guess… but anyways she
takes the bowl and gobbles it down when she hears the door open. OH NO!!! She
quickly hides under the table when she realizes she has broken into the wolf’s
house. He growls with such ferocity that the entire house shakes. Hood trembles
with fear and that’s when the wolf noticed the red cloak shake under the table.
The cunning wolf sneakily pounces on the cloak pulling it completely off of
Hood’s neck and she runs through the house to find an exit She notices a hook
with a fluffy red jacket and she quickly snatches it right off the hook and out
the door and in to the dark woods. Wolf was livid as he searched and searched
for Hood. He realized that in to snow was a path of Hoods footprints. There is
only one house in these woods other than his and he knows right where she is
headed! He takes his short cut and heads right to her grandmother’s house.

ASL (Other Classes)
Back in high school, I took Psychology
and Sociology as a dual credit so I would not have to take it in college, but
what I did not know what that without them I would not be considered a full
time student so I would not get the benefits of financial aid. The financial
aid office suggested I dual major because none of my classes later could be
taken. So, I decided to be a dual major in Sign Language. The first day of ASL
(American Sign Language), I came super early in order to find my classroom. It
is in Galvin and oh my goodness it was, to be honest, a little jank. I was
worried. Only seven people walked in and unfortunately they were all older than
me. No one my age was in the class. Then, the professor walks in…and she does
not say a word and starts signing to us. We were all thinking, “Oh crap, our
prof. is deaf.” Finally, she welcomes us to the class in English and I think we
all let out a suppressed sigh of relief.
I love
learning about American Sign Language. I its just so interesting and the
professor is absolutely excellent, but I truly cannot stand the class.
Everybody in there is just plain weird. There is only on woman in there that is
probably thinking the same exact thing I am. There is even a seventy-year-old couple in
there. I find that a tad bit odd but hey, whatever floats you boat I guess.
In Class Prompt #6
To be honest, when I see any political advertising, the
first thing that comes to my mind is the word BLUH…Guess that it’s a word so I
guess we could interjection. Every time my best friend and I see it blowing up
our time lines on Twitter or when those lame commercials come on the TV or just
anywhere we happen to see it, we immediately roll our eyes in disgust. I really
do not like politics, in fact, I completely, undeniably loathe them! I am the
type of person that is constantly trying to keep people happy and if you are
that person and if you are that type of person too then you know what topics of
conversation can cause major controversy. I really do wish I were into politics
though because I know they are very, very, very important for our country. They keep us organized which is definitely
something a country needs, but whenever I see any type of political advertising
I just cannot help the urge to want to get off Twitter immediately or turn off
the TV. I have just always hated politics. Back in high school, I dreaded going
into third period Government with Mr. Kline. It just did not interest me at all
so, maybe that is the culprit as to why I can’t stand it. I would say I’m more
of a Republican than a Democrat but I really do not like either of the competing
candidates. I feel that we need to pick a person on their views of running the
country rather than their views on social issues.

SDE (Other Class)
As a freshman I have to take this
class called SDE, which is basically a first year experience class. This is
completely beside the point but sometimes I accidently call it STD. They sound
so similar and I rarely know I say it until my friends look at me like I have
lost my mind. It is one of those moments where you think you know what you are
talking about then you realize you made a mistake, then your cheeks get pink
and your arm pits start to sweat. Ya, one of those moments. But anyways, I absolutely,
undeniably loathe that class! First of all my class is on Wednesday and that
just makes it ten times worse because you just want the weekend to be here
already. Second, it is a complete waste of time. For homework we have to write
three journal entries that consist of answering questions about how to better
ourselves in order to become a successful person. On top of that we have these
academic plans that require us to write about strategies we have to think up in
order to help us study, memorize, write, and read materials. We learned how to
study in high school and the majority of us will continue the way we have
studied throughout college. The class is also a two hour-long class! What could
you possibly talk about for two whole hours? We sit there in groups and make up
a list of five things that takes thirty seconds and the prof. gives us about
ten minutes. The only good thing about this class is that it only lasts until
the middle of October. Thank heavens!!

Scott's "007 is Back and He's Brooding"
I am not much of a fan of action movies...I
know lame right? But there are exceptions! For instance, Casino Royale is one
of the Bond movies that I actually do enjoy. I am a romance guru so it has a
little bit of my liking and a little bit of action to contrast with it. Don’t
get me wrong, I love a movie that keeps me on the edge of my seat with suspense
and drama but movies that involve irrational villains who feel the need to
shoot and kill random people is, for lack of better words stupid in my book.
First of
all, Scott’s bio is very impressive! He went to college at Harvard University
and is a critic for the New York Times. Very impressed Scott, very impressed!
Haha. From reading his review of 007 is Back and Brooding, it definitely shows
he has an Ivy League education. I was very impressed with his review. It seemed
to have all the details supported and he had evidence to help support his body
topics. Scott’s had a well balanced rant and rave throughout the entire work.
This review of 007 is Back and Brooding will help make writing my own review
over Think Like a Man much easier
because it contains the “Do’s” of how to write a movie review. Scott includes
what other critics have written and the evidence that supports their opinions
thus giving me a clear insight before I watch the James Bond’s next movie.
